According to the Department of Health everyone should eat at least 5 servings of fruit or vegetables a day. Eating more fruit and vegetables is one of the best ways to reduce the risk of cancer and protect against heart disease.
Also for anyone wishing to lose weight eating more fruit and vegetables is ideal as they are generally low in calories and fat. Eating more fruit and vegetables allows people to concentrate on what they can eat rather than what they should cut out of their diet.
In order to help students STRIVE FOR 5, HSV has created a downloadable healthy eating exercise log for you to track your progress. Click HERE for the healthy exercise log.
